CEO Allegretti Announces 2021 Promotions to Principal

HBK CEO and Managing Principal Christopher M. Allegretti today announced the following HBK CPAs & Consulting team members have been promoted to Principal as of September 2021.

Antonio J. Riberia, CPA, MAcc

Tony works out of the Princeton, New Jersey office and has been with the firm since 2014. He has developed a diverse skill-set by participating in many types of audit, tax, and other consulting projects. His experience includes working with small to medium-sized private companies, nonprofits, government entities, and benefit plans.

“Antonio is a role model, mentor and overall leader in the Princeton office and Mid-Atlantic region,” says Princeton PIC Michele Harlan. “He has been a significant contributor to the tremendous growth in the region during his tenure at HBK, and we anticipate him continuing to lead this growth going forward. I watched him blossom from a hard working intern into the outstanding senior manager he is today, and could not be happier to have him as part of our principal group.”

Sandra L. Stewart, CPA, MST

Sandy works out of our Pittsburgh office and has been with the firm since 2015. She has more than 30 years’ experience in taxation, including 10 years with an international accounting firm. Sandy focuses on multi-state taxation, pass-through entities, high net-worth individuals, and trust, estate, and gift tax planning.

“Sandy Stewart is an outstanding leader who takes client service to a whole new level,” noted Jeremy G. Hartzell, Pittsburgh PIC. “She is an excellent referral source for HBKS. She also leads the firm-wide REVEAL initiative, our Summer Leadership Program. Her ability to engage with our clients and our people are attributes we look for and cherish in a leader.”

Peter D. Roupas, CPA, JD

Peter is in our Pittsburgh office and has been with the firm since 2018. He has more than 13 years in taxation, focusing on privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. His areas of expertise include partnerships, S corporations, individual taxation, trusts and estates, state and local tax, and gift tax matters. He also assists his clients with year-end planning, wealth succession, charitable giving, choice of entity planning, and conflict resolution.

“Peter has been an asset to the firm since his first day with us, having transitioned here from a Big 4,” said Jeremy G. Hartzell, Pittsburgh PIC. “He was instrumental in the transition of both Jeff Yannuzzi and Dick Spence. He has also been actively involved in our practice development initiative by initiating and organizing law firm mixers for our office.”

Matthew J. Schiavone, CPA, CISSP, CISA

Matt works in HBK’s Quality Control department, primarily out of our Pittsburgh office. He specializes in risk advisory services, system and organization control (SOC) reporting, internal controls, IT audit, information security, and cybersecurity for all types of industries.

“I applaud Matt for his commitment to the accounting profession, and in particular for his understanding and development of innovative IT security solutions so vital to the protection of our clients’ data and the ongoing operation of their businesses,” noted HBK COO Phil Wilson.

Stacey D. Udell, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA

Stacey is Director of Valuation, Litigation and Forensics for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the HBK Valuation Group. She has more than 20 years’ experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, economic damages, and litigation support services. She has specialized in the valuation of privately held businesses for purposes of litigation support, including marriage dissolutions, shareholder or partner disputes, and lost profits; mergers and acquisitions; sales; buy-sell agreements; estate planning; and taxation. She also performs economic damages analysis and compensation studies. Stacey has been qualified as an expert in New Jersey and Ohio.

“Stacey joined HBKVG in July 2017 to grow our fledgling valuation and litigation practice in the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said Kelly Carrier, PIC of the HBK Valuation Group LLC. “Under her leadership, we are on pace to reach $700,000 this year, growth that could not have occurred without Stacey’s hard work and professionalism. Already a leader in the valuation space when she joined HBK, she worked tirelessly to leverage he expertise by expanding her professional network and supporting the MidAtlantic CPAs. She also significantly contributed to the Cannabis niche and is now viewed as one of the country’s leaders in cannabis valuation. She is always eager to help in any way she can with supporting our group. We are truly blessed to have such a kind, driven, talented person on our team.”
