Jeremy G. Hartzell

Jeremy is the Principal-in-Charge of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office of HBK as well as the COO-elect. Jeremy joined HBK in February 2015. He joined HBK in February 2015. Jeremy spent 13 years at Deloitte Tax and three years in industry prior to joining HBK. Jeremy specializes in high-net-worth individuals, including estates and trusts. He leads the firm’s ASC 740 practice, providing outsourced corporate income tax provision services to both private and publicly traded companies. He has extensive experience with the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including planning, structuring due diligence, and document review. In addition to his professional experience, he taught in this area as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Jeremy has extensive experience in consulting with nonprofit entities on tax and corporate governance matters. He also assists with nonprofit entity formation as well as mergers. Jeremy has presented at local, regional and national seminars, including the Tri-State Tax Institute and the Bank Tax Institute.
