Manufacturing Day, held on the first Friday of October, celebrates manufacturing’s modernization and rapidly changing technologies. Manufacturers no longer represent dirty, loud, highly labor intensive environments; instead, they can offer career opportunities to those interested in new technologies, ongoing innovation, and the development of in-demand skills.

To celebrate Manufacturing Day, manufacturers across the country open their doors to students and community members seeking to learn more about the in-demand jobs available. With many manufacturers currently struggling to find laborers, these events are more critical than ever. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that manufacturing employment rose by over 120,000 positions during the summer months of 2021, and the industry continues to add jobs. This means that attracting new employees to the industry is a must. Manufacturing Day allows manufacturers to show their unique capabilities and educate youth about the exciting future of the industry.

HBK Manufacturing Solutions is taking this special day to recognize the many manufacturers with whom we have worked or connected in our 70-plus year history. Our roots in the Rust Belt and as a past center of steel production have given us unique insight into the evolution of manufacturing operations, processes, and technologies. We honor and support all manufacturers in our community and look forward to witnessing and supporting the innovation, growth, and evolution of the industry.
